Out of MMA since May, Henry Cejudo does not miss the opportunity to provoke his former rivals. The former champion of flies (up to 56.7 kg.) And roosters (up to 61.2 kg.), The ‘Triple C’ mocked the recent conquests of Deiveson Figueiredo and Petr Yan, who occupied the places that were once the North American in the past.
“Congratulations to the second interim champion this week,” wrote Cejudo on his Twitter account, referring to Deiveson and Yan, who won the fly and rooster belts.
Figueiredo became the new owner of the belt after a historic performance against Joseph Benavidez last Saturday (18). Even promoting an actual massacre against the American, the feat of the Paraense seems not to have impressed Henry, who mocked the victory after UFC Ilha da Luta 2.
“Dana White, my retirement was sincere, but watching you hand over belts to these ‘rent champions’, I’m ashamed. There is only one’ triple champion’. Bend your knees,” provoked Cejudo.

Henry withdrew from the sport after his victory over Dominick Cruz at UFC 249. On occasion, the athlete made his first defense of the roosters’ title and, soon after the triumph, announced, still in the octagon, that he was going to leave MMA. Shortly after, Ultimate removed the North American from the ranking and promoted the clash between Petr and José Aldo for the vacant belt, being won by the Russian.
Although he is hitting the retirement key, Cejudo insists on fighting against Alexander Volkanovski to try his third title in different divisions at Ultimate. The feat has never been accomplished in the organization’s history.
