UFC President Dana White revealed interest in Kayla Harrison.
Harrison is the lightweight PFL champion. She won the 2019 season, crowning herself the division’s first champion. The two-time Olympic gold medalist has made her name, and the UFC is aware of that.
With PFL not holding events this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, it leaves the possibility that the UFC could sign Harrison. In conversation with ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, White revealed that the organization has been watching the new female MMA promise.

“Interesting,” White said when asked about the possibility of Harrison vs. Nunes.
“I don’t know where he thinks his career is, in terms of the level of fighting for the UFC belt. But he is someone we are interested in and someone we have been watching for a while. ”
Harrison is undefeated in his seven fights. She has already beaten names like Larissa Pacheco, Bobbi Jo Dalziel and Morgan Frier, to name a few. All of Kayla’s bouts have been within PFL.
Many questions exist about the future of PFL after the cancellation of the 2020 season. Many fighters cannot wait long to fight, especially for a potential star like Harrison.
The reigning PFL lightweight champion signed a multi-year contract with PFL in the second half of last year.
